| Once you step into these intimate East Village quarters, you'll know why it's called the Boxcar. There's no train theme going on here, just frenetically bibulous activity, spurred by the lounge's generous happy hour---two-for-one drinks (including the ever-potent sangrĂa concoction) till 10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and till 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. In warm weather months, the largely hipster clientele eschew the tiny Ikea-bedecked main room for the back patio. |
