 “Lazy lobster” is the long-running signature dish at this winning restaurant. Chef Chris Brandl poaches the crustacean in a light butter sauce infused with vanilla, then serves it over creamy asparagus risotto. It’s a dazzling dish, but not the only reason diners flock to Brandl. There are also the Brandl crab cakes. While seafood is notable, so are the steaks, especially the bone-in filet mignon. Pretty, rust-toned décor has touches of French toile to create an upscale ambience. Lingering over a dark chocolate soufflé outdoors on the patio overlooking a waterfall and the brick-paved courtyard is especially nice on a balmy summer’s eve.
