THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Brasserie Beck Kentlands Restaurant Review

: Chef/owner Robert Wiedmaier expanded his restaurant empire in the metro area with this casual eatery in Kentlands. Brunch and lunch selections are almost identical, with the exception of the Belgian waffle, robust omelet and meaty dishes such as short rib hash on the former. At lunch, choices focus on starters such as the shallot-onion-Gruyère soup, a few hearty salads, and the croque monsieur with layers of ham and cheese and an optional egg topping. Since this is a Wiedmaier restaurant, and he is famous for his Belgian mussels, consider an entrée of Mediterranean or spicy red Thai curry mussels. Dinner extends the offerings to include such entrées as roasted Amish chicken and crispy skate wing. Beer and wine lists are extensive. For dessert, expect pastries and ice creams.
