Brasserie Zedel Restaurant Review:
Brasserie Zedel is part of a number of restaurants launched by the restaurateurs Chris Corbin and Jeremy King. For a start it’s a beautiful subterranean space, occupying what was once the ultra-trendy Atlantic Bar and Grill. Gilded pillars, banquettes, mirrors and glitz everywhere set the scene for exactly what you’d expect in any Parisian brasserie: onion soup, trout with almonds, choucroute from Alsace, steaks, île flottante --- the list would be a cliché if the cooking and prices were not so honest. The wine list is similarly simple and reliable. There’s a separate classic American bar, a nightclub/lounge, and ground floor café. Set lunch 2 courses £8.75; 3 courses £11.25.
