Bravo’s popularity is no surprise. Diners have a good time here whether it’s date night, a family celebration or a group gathering. The reason: contemporary Italian fare that is well prepared, reasonably priced and served by professionals aiming to please. While the faux marble columns seem overdone, they do add a Romanesque feel to the cavernous room, which tends to become noisy when there's a full house. Let the aromas wafting from the wood-burning ovens whet your appetite, and snack on freshly baked bread and seasoned olive oil while making menu selections. Flatbread, from the traditional fresh mozzarella and basil topping to grilled tenderloin, are a good way to begin. The balsamic-glazed chicken could become addictive with the side of asparagus and pilaf or spinach, artichokes and garbanzo beans. But feel free to skip the fowl entirely, instead diving into a memorable dish of mahi mahi on a bed or roasted vegetables. While you may not have room for dessert, a cup of espresso is the key to capping a satisfying evening.
