THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bravo Restaurant & Events Center Restaurant Review: Two words: singing waiters. If you're still reading, and you're the type of person who doesn't mind mixing a little show tune with your Caesar salad, then look no further than the Bravo Restaurant & Events Center. Located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis' theater district, Bravo appeals to diners who either can't wait until the show starts at the nearby Ordway or the State Theater, or who leave the show with a lingering hunger for Broadway-style entertainment. As for the food, we find that the menu, broken up into acts and scenes, could use the stern hand of a ruthless stage director. There are Southwestern, Caribbean, Southern, French and Asian influences scattered throughout the production, giving the impression of a kitchen trying to please too many people. Stick to the simple stuff---the roasted rack of lamb, the chicken Marsala, the flash fried calamari---and you should be fine, and if you find that musical theater and dinner don't mix, don't say we didn't warn you.
