What really separates the old-style New York burger joint from the upscale brgr? Well, besides its stylish location on Fashion Avenue, there’s the all-natural meat and ingredients as well as the varied accoutrements. Made-to-order, you can choose between one-third-pound beef, turkey and, for herbivores, veggie patties. After that, selections run the gamut of white or wheat to Gruyère or Roquefort. Top it off with diced or grilled onions, apple-smoked bacon, avocado and grilled mushrooms. The sweet potato fries are a winning side that should be washed down with a thick black-and-white milkshake. Drawbacks? For veggies, nosh on the sweet potato fries rather than soggy veggie patties. And alas, while carnivores will be satisfied with their menu options, the inflated prices are sadly not as pleasing.
