Briazz Café is rapidly expanding in busy, urban commercial areas. The stylish self-serve eateries feature well-stocked, refrigerated cases of good sandwiches and lively salads, as well as hot dishes such as soups and panini. Most of the food is prepared daily in a central commissary, where cooks creatively combine fresh, quality ingredients. We’ve seldom been disappointed with choices such as albacore tuna with white beans, Kalamata olives, red pepper and greens on a bolo roll or spicy curried couscous with red onion, zucchini, red pepper and chickpeas. If you know you’ll be stuck at a conference table through mealtime, call for delivery of box lunches. Each café offers numerous low-fat alternatives; unfortunately, the smell of cookies fresh from the oven usually undermines our good intentions.
