THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bric Montrose Restaurant Review:
A very cozy place (especially for a strip-mall tenant), with high-backed booths, tables topped with white linen, flowers and candles, some modern art, and a hint of Southwestern---let's pretend it's Mediterranean---architecture. Chef-owner Eugenio Spano formerly worked the front of the house at prestigious venues like Vincenti, where he was wine director, and the now-defunct Rex. Here, Spano's menu celebrates the cuisine of his native Genoa. An antipasto of sweet Gorgonzola, honey, walnuts and prosciutto is a delightful way to get started, followed by gnocchi verde or rustic noodles in pesto sauce with potatoes and green beans. Main courses include tarragon-scented lamb chops and a plate of Ligurian sausage with polenta and creamed leeks.
