THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bricco della Regina Anna Restaurant Review:
With its warm atmosphere and thoughtful selection of libations and cheeses, Bricco raises the standard for neighborhood wine bars. Choose wines by the glass or select from a bold beer list with brews from Belgium, Italy, Greece, the Czech Republic and the Northwest. A small, creative menu offers appetizers or more substantial dishes, including 30-plus artisan cheeses and exotic cured meats from Salumi. For heftier fare, order a panino with mozzarella, tomato and basil or choose a rustic bruschetta topped with pesto and spicy chickpeas. Dinner entrées vary, but might include a hearty vegetarian lasagna combining eggplant and several cheeses with basil accents, or a veal and spinach manicotti matched with a zesty marinara sauce. An intriguing trout "salad" turns out to be an odd tower of trout built on small cubes of roasted beets surrounding a pool of crème fraîche. For dessert, don't miss the warm chocolate "soufflé." Bricco is a five-minute drive up the counterpoint from Seattle Center, making it appropriate for a light meal after the theatre, opera or ballet.
