Nino Catuogno brings the sunny hospitality and sprightly food of Capri to the West Side of Manhattan. The energetic scion of a Caprese restaurant family has won many fans for thin-crusted pizza and superb seafood. Catuogno's trademark friendly service and engaging surroundings of flowers, pastel colors and Italian tile are also draws, as are the brick ovens, from which emanate artichoke carpaccio and tiny mozzarella balls wrapped in prosciutto. Bricco offers seven fresh salads and the same number of pizza variations. The signature pie is crowned with crab meat, red onion, black olives and mozzarella. Bricco 22, the Flatiron District sibling to this popular spot, has closed.
