| Wooden beams and paneled walls with tons of brick would otherwise make for a dark environment, but bright curtains and mosaic tiles brighten the space. These are simple dishes prepared with care, such as the appetizer chicken wings with blue cheese dressing and an array of fresh salads, from Greek to blackened chicken. The homemade soups are first-rate. Sandwiches include good burgers, hickory chicken and a crunchy BLT. Luchen kugel, a noodle casserole with raisins, makes a good side dish with the beef brisket plate. Fine dining it’s not nor is it meant to be, but your tab at the end of the day won’t look like it either. Yet your taste buds will be pleased. |
