| The sun never sets on the pick-up scene at Brit's Pub, which attracts an interesting mix of hipsters and advertising executives ordering endless pints right after work and spilling onto the streets once it's past last call. Think of it as Minneapolis' Rush Street, only given a classy British veneer. The main bar at Brit's, reaching to the ceiling in manly dark woods and sparkling glass, is the focus of the action, but in recent years the smaller bar in the cigar room has picked up steam. The fish 'n' chips are spot on, and the shepherd's pie and chicken tikka masala are notable as well. In summer, don’t miss lawn bowling and movies on the unique grassy rooftop, one of the Twin Cities' most spirited summer scenes. Come winter, high tea offers a cozy respite from the holiday shopping on snow-blanketed Nicollet Mall. |
