| For more years than we can count, this neighborhood pub has offered burgers that are a good deal for the low price; some are pretty creative (the J.C.B. comes with jalapeño cream cheese and the Ralphie features bison meat) though we don't consider them trophy patties. Thin-profile pies are griddle cooked and lack char; their lean stature means no juice and no rare middle. Adding to the meagerness is a wax-paper presentation and condiments in a portable carryall. We hang our hats here for post- and pre-game pints and pitchers of USA craft brew and German standard-bearers. The sun's shining? Carry your mug to the outdoor patio around back. |
