Browns Restaurant & Bar Restaurant Review: Browns continues its predictable, but satisfactory, way. Success partly comes from the different venues---each of the Browns is converted from unusual purpose-built buildings. The one on Maddox Street was a tailor's; this one was an old courthouse. Cream-coloured walls, wooden chairs and marble-topped tables, and much greenery in the form of huge plants help the atmosphere, as does the friendly and professional service. The food is pretty standard and the choice wide in standard brasserie style (traditional fish soup, moules marinières, pastas, salads, venison steak); children get a great deal. Other locations. |
