This is the kind of place that will make you wish you lived in Cobble Hill (or thankful for the fact that you do). Brucie is airy and relaxed, and has an affordable Italian wine list, and it's easy to drink the night away over a glass of Primitivo or two. Cuisine runs rustic in the way of sardines over crostini and lasagna with house-made ricotta and "gravy" like your grandmother makes. Share the chicken for two with panzanella and coffee butter if you like, but you may not want to part with any of the lemon olive oil cake with a delectable lemon curd that's offered for dessert. The corn pancake topped with salted caramel at weekend brunch is alone worth the trip.
