Bruegger's Bagel Bakery Restaurant Review: One fresh, chewy bite proves that Bruegger's bagels are made the old-fashioned way, kettle boiled and stone-hearth baked. Even better? In addition to the standard issue plain, salt, poppy seed and garlic for the purists, experimental flavors such as sun-dried tomato, cinnamon roll and cranberry orange tempt the adventurous. For lunch, try one of the soups that change daily; we especially like the butternut squash and the cold weather-busting white chicken chili. For those seeking a light meal, salads like the sesame chicken or Mandarin satisfy---especially, of course, with a garlic bagel on the side. Stop by for breakfast and order the “Western,” which comes with egg, bacon, roasted red peppers, red onions and chipotle sauce. While the coffee is more adequate than habit-forming, the bagels make up for it in spades.
