| Our favorite bagel sandwich is the “Western,” which comes with egg, bacon, roasted red peppers, red onions and chipotle sauce. Bagels come in plain, salt, poppy seed, blueberry and garlic for the purists and experimental flavors such as sun-dried tomato for those who can't leave well enough alone. This St. Paul-based chain has expanded its repertoire, adding boutique cream cheeses, respectable soups and signature sandwiches. Unfortunately, the coffee at Bruegger's isn't as good as we want it to be, but many locations remedy this shortcoming by sharing a wall with local coffee spot Caribou Coffee. |
