THIS RESTAURANT IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED B's Cracklin' BBQ Restaurant Review:

Once a residence in this blue-collar part of the metro Atlanta area, the building that now houses the Atlanta branch of a Savannah-founded 'cue joint has been adapted to restaurant use with the addition of a large outdoor deck. Within, well-worn surfaces and a busy bar appeal to locals, who may eat up all the ribs by 8 p.m. on a busy day. Of all the meats we tried, the brisket (order it with the fat cap) was the most successful; ribs and chicken seemed dry. South Carolina-style mustard sauce was first-rate, and not at all sweet as some are. Also taking a page from South Carolina traditions, hash, always served on rice, is the ideal side, but the collard greens also were good. Banana pudding seems like the most appropriate pick from among a couple of desserts. Choose from plenty of brews. When the music comes indoors, it's difficult to hear; plan accordingly if you expect to carry on any kind of table conversation. That said, the blues-based tunes we heard were very well done. Also located at 12409 White Bluff Rd., Savannah, 912-330-6921.
