Bubba's Barbecue Restaurant Review: Although we have thoroughly enjoyed Bubba’s barbecue in the past, our last trip produced tough ribs and dried out fried chicken that fell shy of the mark. Be safe and go with the barbecue sandwich. The sauce, a vinegar-based, peppery North Carolina-style formula, is spot-on; take a few bottles home. But barbecue is about the meat first, and the sauce second. In true Carolina fashion, the ’cue comes alongside hush puppies. For dessert, there’s house-made pecan pie. No alcohol is offered, so prepare to pair your food with sweet iced tea.
