Buca di Beppo Restaurant Review: Everything from the food to the ambience is geared towards large groups at this boisterous, over-the-top homage to all things Italian. Chianti bottles hang from the ceiling, framed photos of classic Italian film stars line the walls, the red and white checkered tablecloths support the Pope’s head on a special table. Would you expect any less from a restaurant owned by Planet Hollywood? Your party enters through the kitchen and winds its way to a table in the cavernous space. Most dishes are reasonably priced and served family-style, with enough food for four people. Pizzas are predictable and good. Baked ravioli is not refined, but it is tasty; chicken with lemon is also pleasing, and the shrimp fra diavolo is one of the better dishes. New entrées hit the menu often so you can mix it up each time you go. Desserts are nothing special, so don’t bother saving room for them. The wine list is surprisingly long, and mixed drinks are available as well.
