Bucatini Restaurant Review: Bucatini offers a solid array of pizzas and pasta dishes in both vegetable and meat versions. Of note are traditional Italian sausage served with grilled polenta and stewed bell peppers; grilled lamb chops marinated in a heady medley of rosemary, garlic and olive oil; and sautéed free-range veal, prepared with a daily selection of sauces. Soups are made in-house. For light eaters, fresh salads are available, along with six incarnations of bruschetta. A modest selection of Italian wines are presented alongside local labels, and there is a full bar. On Tuesday evenings, the patio overlooks a weekly farmers market, which adds to the dining (and people-watching) experience. Since it's located in the heart of touristy Santa Barbara, the prices are rather high.
