Bucatini Restaurant Review: Bucatini offers an array of pizzas and a number of can’t-lose daily specials, while the regular menu presents many pastas and meat dishes. Of note are traditional Italian sausage served with grilled polenta and stewed bell peppers; grilled lamb chops marinated in a heady medley of rosemary, garlic and olive oil; and sautéed free-range veal, prepared with a daily selection of sauces. Soups are made in-house. For light eaters, fresh salads are available, along with six versions of bruschetta. A modest selection of Italian wines are offered alongside local labels, and there is a full bar. Dine outdoors on the terrace and watch Santa Barbara’s never-ending parade march past on busy State Street. On Tuesday evenings, the patio overlooks a weekly farmers market, which adds to the dining (and people-watching) experience.
