Buckhead Bread Company & Corner Cafe Restaurant Review: It all started when patrons of Buckhead Life restaurants wanted to buy the crusty, rustic breads, and were willing to pay top dollar for them. So, a bakery and café became part of the company’s line-up. Baked goods and stone-ground grits are among breakfast items, and locals often hold breakfast meetings here. At more leisurely times, patrons devour the paper along with scratch-made corned beef hash topped with poached eggs. They may then return for salads or sandwiches at lunch, and come for brunch to savor classic eggs Benedict (but we miss the Scotch eggs). Pastries galore await for dessert. There is a wine list, but it's not especially interesting. Coffees include assorted exotic offerings served French press, ideal for a gourmet's breakfast wrap-up. The restaurant closes at 3:30 p.m. daily. |
