THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bugsy's Restaurant Review:

The Flamingo's infamous Bugsy would never permit anyone to call him by his nickname to his face---and live. But he is long gone, so the cheerful deli that bears his colorfully crazy handle is probably safe from unexpected eruptions. Our appetites, on the other hand, were rubbed out by the super-huge deli sandwiches and sides that are the hallmark of this very New York delicatessen. The multi-level selections will also leave you less to buy chips with, but you can eat economically here if you're careful which choice you finger. The corned beef hash with fried eggs is also hearty; the muffins, doughnuts and Danish pastries humongous. Beautifully displayed in glass cases adjoining the exhibition kitchen are appealing salads and desserts. We like the spinach salad with chopped eggs, red onion, bacon, marinated mushrooms and sesame dressing. Go for the smoked salmon platter with sliced red onion, tomato and Swiss cheese served with a toasted bagel and cream cheese. Save room for the jumbo chocolate chip, peanut butter and oatmeal raisin cookies---or the banana cream pie with Bavarian cream.
