Back in 2009, the Lukasiewicz Brothers launched Bull Taco out of a snack bar at the San Elijo Campgrounds in Cardiff, and quickly gained a reputation for their creative endeavors. Lobster, uni and curry found their way into the tasty tacos, and long lines followed. Set on a second floor patio with commanding sea views, this taco joint hosts an eclectic crowd, from skateboarders to businessmen in ties. Breakfast burritos start the day and the signature cheesy tater tots are a hit. The SBC taco means shrimp, bacon and chorizo nestled into cabbage with a sriracha kick, while the California version spotlights asada tater tots and guacamole. All items, from duck to shrimp curry, can be served as a bowl, torta, quesadilla, burrito or taco. Gold chandeliers hang above the register, surf photos grace the walls and a giant bull skull reminds diners that this is Bull Taco.
