Byblos Restaurant Review: Byblos' high-ceilinged, whitewashed dining room is several degrees more comfortable and well-appointed than what one would find at a run-of-the-mill Middle Eastern café. At the cloth-covered tables, regulars converse over aromatic rice; meaty cabbage rolls; a parsley-rich tabbouleh; skewers piercing exotically seasoned beef, shrimp, fish, lamb and chicken; and such custardy, honey-laced desserts as ashta (a traditional Lebanese sweet that’s a cross between clotted cream and pudding) and baklava. Unlike most of its competitors, Byblos sports a full bar and wine list. Attached to a shopping mall, this Byblos has sister locations, but this one is a standout for its service.
