THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Caesar's Den Restaurant Review:
These may just be the best roasted peppers in town. Ruddy red and sunflower yellow, lightly smoky, kissed with fruity olive oil, they're a good example of the care taken by this kitchen with its Neapolitan fare. You can't go wrong with any of chef-owner Guido De Franco's grilled entrées, whether jumbo shrimp with tomato-bean salad or a sirloin. But dishes like his black fettuccine with arugula and farfalle puttanesca really show off his understated, flavorful style. Pick your pleasure from the wine list --- bottles are half-price on Tuesday and Friday nights --- and ask about the grappa selection for an after-dinner treat. There are more bombastic Italians in Little Italy, but our vote goes for comfort over show.
