THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Cafe Alma Restaurant Review:
There's a kind of bohemian air to Café Alma, with its exposed beams, hanging wires and twinkling lights. The staff is young and chatty, and the place is popular with workers who ply their trades downtown. Lunch items include individual-size pizzas. There are more than two dozen tapas selections, and three Trio Platters, including the El Español-Spanish: fabada sausage and white bean cassoulet; chicken empanada with chick peas, garlic and paprika; and Serrano ham with country olives and manchego cheese. Another welcome entrée is the tri-peppercorn-coated breast of Hudson Valley duck served atop a sweet corn pancake with creamed spinach and caramelized pears.
