With the proliferation of Danish-themed restaurants in Solvang, bistro-style Café Angelica offers a refreshing alternative. California cuisine with an Italian influence is what you’ll find here, with healthy salads and sandwiches for lunch, and dishes such as eggplant Parmigiana and shrimp linguine served with fresh basil, tomatoes, artichoke hearts and seasonal vegetables. For something more substantial, pair one of the many fine local reds with filet mignon stuffed with blue cheese and wild mushrooms, then topped with a sherry and mascarpone cheese sauce. Locally owned and operated, the restaurant features a nice selection of Central Coast wines and notable desserts made in-house daily.
