| Among the original tapas bars in Chicago, this Lettuce Entertain You restaurant took the city by storm. During the first few years of its life, the crowds were knee deep and elbow-to-elbow. During peak times --- despite the many tapas alternatives out there --- it’s still true. Whether you come for pintxos at the bar (a chorizo-wrapped date with manchego) or dive into marinated olives, garlic potato salad and paella, order a pitcher of sangrÃa (white or red) to go with. And the patatas bravas? Yeah, they’re good. As a finale, the caramelized banana never fails. |
