As the original tapas bar in Chicago, this restaurant took the city by storm. During the first few years of its life the crowds were knee deep and elbow-to-elbow. It's quieter now that there are a ton of tapas places from which to choose. But all the tapas (and paella) that you could ever imagine (and crave) are served here, from the somewhat more exotic (octopus) to the ordinary (grilled shrimp). Order a pitcher of sangría (white or red available) and watch the young and the restless do their thing. It all happens in a setting that’s faux Spanish; in other words, when you can't fly off to Barcelona, this will do the trick.
