| Though Café Colonial looks like a typical French café, the menu owes more to Brazil (the owner's native land) than to France. The food and service tend to be spotty, but the rich soups and simple dishes are surprisingly good as is the latte. And the moist and crusty Portuguese cornbread comes free. This is also a good place to spend a late winter morning sitting at a corner table penning your latest opus---or just chatting with friends---with a pot of wonderful mango tea at your fingertips. |
