| This diminutive West Village eatery is the love-child of three veteran restaurant workers from Latin America who dreamed of opening their own place. The location, smack on the crossroads between Seventh Avenue and West Tenth and West Fourth Streets, makes for a perfect place for whiling away an afternoon or evening sipping coffee or wine and gawking at the activity through the huge windows. Chef Luis Mota hasn’t much space to work with---in fact, he cooks on an induction cooktop rather than with traditional gas---but manages to pump out an impressive array of small plates: tender roasted salmon, poached chicken and crab meat tortellini. |
