| THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES TO CAFÉ 640. Tucked beside a quirky Poncey-Highland inn, Café di Sol has a handle on bistro comfort food. Start with breakfast, when you might choose a conventional pair of poached eggs with hollandaise sauce and a side of either yellow stone-ground grits and-or biscuits. Or get the slow-braised pork shoulder on the same grits with a dab of red wine reduction. The same dish appears on the lunch-dinner menu with appropriate embellishments. If you ever get a hankering for the simple splendor of a proper roast chicken, here's your source. Or a classic hanger steak with fries. This is serious food at a great price. The wine list is no great shakes, but there are some nice values here and there. |
