THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cafe Edison Restaurant Review:
You can feel the sheer energy of Broadway in this boisterous theater district coffee shop, called by some The Polish Tea Room. We appreciate Café Edison's warp-speed waiters and terrific Eastern European Jewish dishes, such as the fluffy, pillow-like cheese blintzes, borscht and gefilte fish. The daily special includes a cup of soup, a beverage and an entrée such as pot roast, broiled salmon or pork chops (this is not a kosher establishment). If you're staying at the adjoining Hotel Edison, you can charge your meal to your room. Watch for the hand-lettered sign: We have kishka today!
