Dark-wood planked walls, tall, illuminating windows and Tiffany and eclectic glass hanging lamps suggest a cozy cabin in which to shelter from the storm. Comforting substantial dishes and drinks offer succor to brunch and dinner patrons alike. Executive chef-owner Chris Laramie draws inspiration from the Pacific Northwest to offer farm-to-table fare enhanced by house-cured salmon and house-made hot sauce sweetened with carrots and Eugene-style-tofu pâté. Ride out the rain with a fried oyster sandwich or Vancouver dog with teriyaki sauce, pickled cucumbers, wasabi mayo, nori and potato chips. Quench thirst with a coffee drink laced with rum, chocolate liqueur, espresso, cream and cinnamon. The shortcake swimming in whipped yogurt cream and marionberry sauce is a must-have, when available. After dark, warm yourself with the foggy East Bay clam chowder with bacon and herbed puff pastry leaves.
