| Café Gratitude serves vegan, raw food, meaning that it's not only meat- and dairy-free, but nothing is heated above 115 degrees. Be prepared for a slightly New Age experience: dishes are whimsically titled, as in the "I am sensational" (pizza with pesto) and "I am thankful" (Thai coconut soup). It’s a communal dining experience, with most of the seating at large tables. Service can be spotty, but still the hordes pack the joint. Desserts are especially popular --- order it when you are seated as they often run out. |
