 Cafe on the Green Restaurant Review: Café on the Green's estate-inspired setting and elegantly appointed rooms exist amid a backdrop of rolling hills and the manicured lawns of Richter Park Golf Course. Fresh floral bouquets grace white tablecloths set with fine china and crystal. The Italian cuisine features traditional-style antipasti including tender calamari sautéed in tomato, wine, basil and garlic. Quinoa-crusted sea scallops with roasted eggplant tapenade and micro green salad; and the polpette di carne, meatballs with roasted peppers, dry ricotta and toasted bread add a measure of creativity to otherwise standard starters. Entrées showcase inventive combinations --- try the scaloppine di vitello paradiso, thinly sliced veal sautéed with lobster meat, with melted mozzarella in a light Champagne sauce; or the farfalle alle cinque verdure, bow-tie pasta cooked al dente with fresh basil, artichokes, broccoli, peas and San Marzano tomatoes. |
