Cafe on the Green Restaurant Review: Café on the Green's estate-inspired setting and elegantly appointed rooms perch amid a backdrop of rolling hills and the manicured lawns of the Richter Park Golf Course. Fresh floral bouquets grace white clothed tables set with fine china and crystal. The Italian cuisine features traditional-style antipasti including tender calamari sautéed in tomato, wine, basil and garlic. Quinoa-crusted sea scallops with roasted eggplant tapenade and micro green salad; polpette di carne, meatballs with roasted peppers, dry ricotta and toasted bread; and arancini di riso, crispy fried risotto balls stuffed with mozzarella Fresca topped with marinara sauce add a measure of creativity and authenticity among starters. Entrées showcase hearty combinations --- try the sherry-braised beef short ribs over mushroom risotto --- as well as lighter dishes like fettuccine tossed with shrimp, scallops, mussels and clams in a plum tomato sauce.
