Cafe Lago Restaurant Review:

Owner Carla Leonardi’s Montlake restaurant offers handmade pasta tossed with long-simmered sauce and apple wood fire-baked pizzas. Pizza toppings range from goat cheese and caramelized onions to classic marinara and mozzarella. Other menu favorites are seven-layer lasagna, gnocchi and ricotta-filled ravioli. Prime sirloin is finished with rich Gorgonzola, while the roasted chicken is garnished with tender Brussels sprouts. For a sweet finish, the nutty, candied orange-flecked biscotti is our first choice, although a lemon tart provides serious competition. Cocktails and a small but thoughtfully chosen list of Italian wines round out the experience.
