| Many folks in the neighborhood declare that this is their very favorite restaurant, a Cheers kind of place with a decidedly Mediterranean flair. Count us among the fans of the tapas and other fare. We’ve lounged here after the movies (a theater is around the corner) and dipped into the Ole’s bread basket of pita chips, focaccia and lavash. Since tapas portions are small, you probably will move quickly on to heftier fare. We’ve loved the Moroccan lamb stew, but wished for more substantial portions, and doted on a wonderful combination of grilled Merguez sausage, mashed potatoes and tomatoes. And we’ve thoroughly enjoyed the Lebanese Celebration (marinated and grilled chicken with bulgur). Problem is, you end up ordering many little plates and paying one big bill. What may also be on that bill: wine. There are lots of good ones by the glass. |
