THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cafe Red Onion Restaurant Review:
Café Red Onion’s seafood enchiladas, full of shrimp, crab and roasted poblanos, rolled in red corn tortillas and oozing cheese, is just one of the many dishes that have created quite a buzz about this restaurant. Don't be put off by its unexceptional strip-center digs; it may be short on ambience, but this spot is long on terrific food. The menu is ever-changing, with many daily specials, including standout fish dishes. Cordial owner Rafael Galindo blends Mexican cooking with Central American cuisine and takes pride in beautiful presentations and special touches. The Colombia medallion is a filet mignon dredged in fresh coffee grounds and served with a mango barbecue sauce. Other don't-miss items are black bean nachos and the pineapple-cilantro table salsa. Some fine South American wine choices are offered along with a good selection of Central American beers.
