Years may pass, but time does not diminish the luster of this tiny Indian eatery. Its soothing décor and on-target dishes appeal to its many suburban guests. The restaurant is particularly busy at lunchtime, when local businesspeople line up for the lavish buffet. Plan to start any meal with an appetizer of vegetable pakoras or samosas. All of the breads are special, but the house naan stuffed with nuts and dried fruits is a standout. If you fear spicy heat, stick to mild classic curries such as the butter chicken or the chicken tikka masala. If you like it hot, then opt for the lamb vindaloo, which is some of the best in town. Chill down with a just-sweet-enough mango lassi (the yogurt beverage) plus an order of kulfi (ice cream). Check out the wine list for something to pair with your Indian feast.
