Caffe Aldo Lamberti Restaurant Review: As the flagship restaurant that launched multiple locations in New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania, Caffè Aldo Lamberti is dependably good, no matter what the occasion. Start with a selection from the pristine raw bar or the grilled portobello topped with crab meat and a rich Gorgonzola, or try the mozzarella sticks made with a smoked version of the stringy cheese. Or go for one of the house-made pastas, such as the fusilli puttanesca with olives, capers and anchovies, or the gnocchi with onions, peas and prosciutto. The seafood is a house specialty. Check out the street side sign to find out what's come in. Stone crabs are a cause for celebration. There’s a nice wine list. Select a prime vintage and know that it is best enjoyed on the outdoor terrace when the weather is fine (note: bottles are half price on Sunday). We suggest the tiramisu for dessert. Live entertainment on the terrace makes you almost forget you're sitting along busy Route 70.
