Caffe Aldo Lamberti Restaurant Review: As the flagship restaurant that launched multiple locations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Caffè Aldo Lamberti is dependably good, no matter the occasion. Start with a selection from the pristine raw bar; the lobster asparagus salad with endive and orange vinaigrette; or the eggplant napoleon. You can’t go wrong with one of the house-made pastas, either. Try the paccheri amatriciana with pancetta and caramelized onion or the gnocchi with mozzarella and tomatoes. Seafood is a house specialty. Check out the streetside sign to find out what's come in. Stone crabs are a cause for celebration. There’s a nice wine list. Select a prime vintage and know that it is best enjoyed on the outdoor terrace when the weather is fine (note: bottles are half price on Sunday). We suggest the tiramisu for dessert. Live entertainment on the terrace makes you almost forget you're sitting along busy Route 70.
