| Whenever we find ourselves at California Pizza Kitchen, it takes forever to order since the menu is chock-full of possibilities. We like the ranch-dressed salad tossed with field greens, caramelized pears, Gorgonzola, Fontina and mozzarella cheeses, caramelized sweet onions and chopped hazelnuts. Or how about a cup of the potato leek soup? Then again, we could forget about greens and liquids altogether and instead plow through one of the ultra-thin, crisp-crusted pizzas. We like the portobello mushroom pie, and we also have an affinity for the pizza topped with goat cheese and roasted peppers. The roasted garlic chicken pizzas are also a good bet, except for the rosemary, chicken and potato version that seems a bit too heavy. Try the Key lime pie for dessert. |
