California Pizza Kitchen Restaurant Review: When California Pizza Kitchen brought its barbecue chicken pizza to Michigan, the masses lined up for hours waiting for a taste; years later, there's still always a significant wait for a table at CPK. Luckily, it’s located in the upscale Somerset Collection North, and window-shopping keeps hungry patrons distracted. The list of pies is extensive, though we favor the roasted garlic chicken, five-cheese and tomato, and mixed grill vegetarian. But we also have been known to opt for a cup of potato-leek soup and a grilled rosemary chicken sandwich. Look for a quinoa and arugula salad, cedar-planked salmon and fire-roasted chile rellenos, too. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free menus are available. Complement your meal with a local microbrew or perhaps a red, white or sparkling wine. |
