THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cambridge House Restaurant Review:

This place is the coffee shop's coffee shop. In this day of seafood grills and sushi bars, trattorias and tapas, spa cuisine and fast-food machines, it's getting hard to find an authentic coffee shop. Cambridge House is true to form and hard to beat. Visitors to Chicago who know of it gladly walk blocks to eat here. We haven't had a breakfast here yet that we didn't thoroughly enjoy: pancakes, fluffy omelets, french toast, steak and eggs, excellent coffee... And you won't find a better (or nicer) serving staff. The chicken-breast sandwich is a particularly good lunch choice. At dinner, try the roast beef or fried chicken dinners; the oven-browned potatoes are outstanding.
