THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Camden Brasserie Restaurant Review

: A model in how a successful, local restaurant should be run, the Camden Brasserie continues to keep its clientele very happy indeed. The restaurant is a long room, with prized tables in the window (though the local Camden life outside can be a touch on the rough side), an open fireplace and open grill. The décor fits the concept perfectly---white-plastered walls featuring photographs, wood floor, wood tables and chairs and exposed brick walls. Food is satisfying, still best from the flaming grill with dishes like spicy Italian sausages with potato mash and onion marmalade or superb beef with béarnaise sauce. Frites are excellent, but are now counted as a separate item. Also good are seared tuna tataki with salad and Scottish salmon with sorrel sauce. Good, short wine list and friendly service---the owners are still here all the time.
