THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Campagna Restaurant Review: The Telluride norm is for restaurants to resemble country inns, a role played nicely by the Tuscan-style Campagna, which occupies a handsome Victorian house but offers a very modern touch---an open kitchen that allows the appetizing activities going on to be viewed by all. Chef/proprietor Vince Esposito turns out an extremely attractive menu that includes such had-to-find items as strozzaprieti (literally priest stranglers) al sugo di coniglio, or pasta with rabbit sauce, and fennel with the finest grade of Parmesan cheese. We admire the scallops steamed in their shells in a bath of herb-perfumed wine. But the rustic heartiness of stewed chicken and sausages served over grilled polenta is equally satisfying.
