THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cana Latin Kitchen & Bar Restaurant Review:

Owner Cory Harwell and chef Kevin Lew take you on an adventure through South America at this hideaway at Town Square. The restaurant focuses on a wide variety of bocadillos, South American versions of tapas. The centerpiece of the menu is ceviche. Try the spicy tuna made with big eye tuna, cucumber and avocado, or the scallop with an interesting mix of pomegranate seeds, mango and mint. Beef tenderloin tiraditos, a sliced version of ceviche, marries avocado with a truffled mayonnaise and a touch of red onion. A duck empanada combines a hint of fig with aguardiente crema without any gaminess. But it’s the bocadillos that really make the menu. Start with piggy back dates wrapped in bacon with a creamy goat cheese and almond center. Pair the papas, tiny potatoes in a traditional Peruvian huancaina sauce, with the lamb chops with mint chimichurri. A habanero mac ‘n’ cheese works pleasantly with the gazpacho for hot and cool sensations. Save room for the churros or the bread pudding. On the drinks menu, Harwell changes out seasonal offerings every six weeks, but you can always find sugarcane sangría, which hits the tongue sweet and goes down sour.
