THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Canal Street Grill Restaurant Review

: Bountiful portions of charm and food are featured in this comfortable restaurant, with its carved-glass entry door, crackling fireplace and plush booths that serve as dividers to afford a cozy ambience. Among starters, we like the Louisiana crab cakes (jumbo lump crab meat with fresh herbs, peppers and onions) and the lobster bisque with Cognac. Entrées are served with a house salad. Pan-seared Chilean sea bass medallions layered with portobello mushroom, roasted peppers, fresh spinach and goat cheese is finished with a drizzle of citrus beurre blanc. Try the chicken Marsala with fresh mushrooms in a Marsala wine demi-glace over herbed orzo pasta. Bone-in cuts and steak selections include New York, filet mignon, Prime flat-iron, rack of lamb, double-boned lamb chops and prime rib. Finish with the signature bananas Foster, prepared tableside.
