Big-city style invades small-town America at this sophisticated, out-of -the-way spot. The prices are big city as well, but local loyalists vow the experience is worth the cost. Entrées keep flavors simple as a nod to the bistro tradition. Skirt steak is served with pommes frites and the lamb is surrounded by the king of beans, the creamy, French flageolets. Desserts are rustic, like a strawberry shortcake or lemon tart. But don’t bother with the ice cream, even the fresh berries on top can’t disguise the store-bought flavor.
